WORKFORCE ADVISORY COUNCIL

The Workforce Advisory Council is an employer-led collaborative, passionate about increasing the size, diversity, and preparedness of our regional healthcare talent pool.

Employers, we understand you face an enormous responsibility trying to juggle workforce shortages, but you don’t
have to take this all on yourself. Since 2003, the Workforce Advisory Council has convened employers to build
partnerships and programs to increase the number of qualified candidates available to fill ALL your jobs.

BE A PART OF THE SOLUTION…

With members from each of the major health systems, our Workforce
Advisory Council works with a committed group of collaborative
regional partners representing K-12 and post-secondary education,
healthcare training providers, and community and workforce
organizations. From the beginning, this initiative has been dedicated to
increasing the size and diversity of our regional talent pool
appropriately prepared for success in entry-to-mid level health careers.
Additionally, we convene separate Long-Term Care and Home Health
Employer Groups to assist with their specific workforce challenges.

Our goal is to continuously create new initiatives with equitable outcomes that increase the region’s workforce pipeline, like we are doing in our building of the REGIONAL REGISTERED APPRENTICESHIP SYSTEM. We are motivated to help youth, incumbent workers, and unemployed and underemployed individuals access healthcare training and education programs. With equity and inclusion as our driving force, we are committed to using data-informed strategies to create systemic and sustainable change within and across institutions.
