PRE-APPRENTICESHIPS & APPRENTICESHIPS

Our programs address healthcare workforce shortages and create new pipelines for nurses and other healthcare workers.

High School Pre-Apprenticeship

With financial support from JPMorgan Chase, we have helped several school districts build and launch Healthcare Pre-Apprenticeship programs.

These programs are designed to provide vital healthcare education, increase access to necessary credentials, and prepare students for success in their first healthcare job and college-level healthcare programs.

The pre-apprenticeships also meet Ohio’s 12-point credential, high school graduation requirement.

If you are an educator interested in building a similar program for your students, connect with Workforce Innovation Executive Director HOPE ARTHUR.

Medical Assistant Apprenticeship Program

The Health Collaborative, with financial support from JPMorgan Chase, worked with employer and education partners to build and launch a successful Medical Assistant Apprenticeship Program (MAAP) to fill healthcare workforce gaps across the healthcare continuum.

Medical Assistants are vital to physician practices, performing patient care duties along with both front- and back-office duties. It also is an ideal entry point for next step patient- and non-patient-facing healthcare careers including LPN, RN, Medical Lab Technician, Phlebotomist, Office Biller, Medical Coder, and more.

For individuals interested in pursuing this program, please contact the MAAP Coordinator and Instructor at Cincinnati State. For employers interested in learning more, contact HOPE ARTHUR.

Please visit our Signatory Employers’ websites to check out available opportunities.
